Tony Fitzpatrick
From his earliest memories, Tony has always dreamed of being an architect and
despite being unsuccessful in his attempts to gain entry to Victoria University
School of Architecture, has pursued this dream relentlessly since 1993. As the son
of a builder, and with a few years as a trainee quantity surveyor after leaving
school, he has a good knowledge of construction methods, which is vital to bring
an idea to life.
Tony is also a director of Little Footsteps Early Childhood
Centre, a business jointly owned with his wife Angela, and is currently chairman
of the Marlborough Cricket Association. When not busy working or cricketing he can
be found on his lifestyle block at Blind River, tending to his growing herd of
cattle, sheep and horses.
Tony is passionate about the lifestyle Marlborough has to offer
and is committed to the development of the region in a sustainable and responsible
manner.
Karl Fitzpatrick
Tony Fitzpatrick's younger brother Karl works with the PlanIt team between
university semesters while studying architecture at Victoria University in
Wellington.
Karl's introduction to design was as a young toddler, watching
Tony draw plans on the drawing board in his bedroom. He joined Tony as a 15 year
old working after school, quickly mastering the CAD technology and also gaining a
sound knowledge of building methodology. He has put this knowledge and experience
to good use at Victoria where he is consistently scoring top marks.
Outside of architecture, Karl is an accomplished sportsman,
having represented NZ at Handball, while also playing cricket, indoor cricket and
Javelin. |
